Not so long ago, I was waiting for my husband at the mall and went with my sixteen year old son in a small hobby boutique. As we walked past the shelves, we were talking while I chose ribbons, buttons, paper… My son asked: “Mom, why is it? You have an education in economics and were involved in cosmetic business for 15 years, yet all you want to do is draw, embroider, cut, knit, glue, sew…”
Scrapbooking came into my life a relatively short time ago, although I’ve always really liked it. I occasionally bought handmade greeting cards, but thought to myself that it was a good thing that I wasn’t part of this business. It should be at least something that I don’t do!
I got married for the second time in 2013, and my two children and I, moved from Ukraine to Denmark. I often have design and create something decorative out of paper for parties or gift wrapping.
When I gave birth to my younger daughter, I wanted to buy a handmade photo album for her photos but I haven´t found a suitable format and text language. I decided to make it myself. This proved to be a little more difficult than I expected, but very exciting. And it was the beginning of my love for paper.
In the blog I want to display my paper projects, and I’ll be happy if they serve as an inspiration and be useful to others.
